Food for the Journey

If you have ever been on a hike or a long walk, you know how important it is to be well fed. The right amount of nourishment provides the energy we need to make it to the end of the journey. For any journey, you need to have energy to get where you are going. Even if you are simply traveling via car or plane, you want to be well fed before you go and while you are on the way. We all need food for the journey.

Our journey of faith is no different. We need to be fed along the way. We need the right foods at the right times to have the willingness to get moving or to keep moving. We need ways to feed our bodies, our minds, and our souls so that we are inspired to continue our walk of faith.

In our next four-week series, we will look to provide good food and pathways to get moving and keep moving on our faith journey’s. Using the Breakfast Cereals as a metaphor, we see how a good breakfast (or a good starting point) can help keep us moving toward a deeper faith and connection with God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

Feeding you: body, mind, and soul

Our Mission

First Christian Church bases our ministry on the love, grace, mercy and justice of God revealed to us through Jesus, the Christ. We are devoted to connecting you to Christ, each other and our community and beyond, through our worship, fellowship, and service.

Feeding you:

We believe that as followers of Christ, God has called to bring hope to the world. First Christian Church is dedicated to connecting our faith to bringing mercy and justice to the world.

At First Christian Church we are always looking at ways - both old and new - to connect with one another. Take a look at ways that you can get connected to our church family.

With our mission always in mind, we connect people to Christ through worship, study, and prayer. We are continually keeping our eyes open for ways that deepen our faith in God, through our connection to Jesus.
